The regulatory bodies of the RFC BA have signed an amendment to their existing cooperation agreement, further strengthening cross-border regulatory coordination along the corridor. The newly adopted amendment formalises the accession of the Hungarian and Croatian regulatory authorities to the agreement, expanding the scope of cooperation among corridor members.

This step marks an important milestone in enhancing coordinated regulatory oversight across the RFC BA network. The agreement provides a framework for close collaboration between national regulatory bodies, including the exchange of information, coordinated handling of cross-border cases, and the promotion of non-discriminatory access to rail infrastructure. The updated cooperation structure is aligned with the relevant European Union regulatory framework governing rail freight corridors. The cooperation framework also reflects the institutional setup of the corridor, with the Italian Transport Regulation Authority (Autorità di Regolazione dei Trasporti – ART) acting as the competent regulatory body in line with the legal seat of the RFC BA in Italy.

By extending participation to additional Member States, the amendment contributes to a more integrated and transparent regulatory environment along the Baltic-Adriatic corridor – one of Europe’s key rail freight axes connecting Northern and Southern Europe.
